Who could claim compensation under this settlement?
The settlement was for women who underwent a Tompkins Metroplasty performed by Dr. Salim Daya at the Hamilton Health Sciences Corporation during the period January 1, 1990 to March 31, 2004 and her family members.
The deadline to submit a claim for compensation has passed.
One hundred and eighty-one women were determined to be eligible Class Members.
When can Class Members expect the remaining compensation payments will be made under the Distribution Plan?
Payments from the Base Fund, uncontested payments to eligible Family Class Members and the majority of the Additional Compensation payments have been made.
Decisions on the remaining Additional Compensation claims have been rendered. The date to dispute Fund Counsel’s decisions on the Additional Compensation claims expired October 15, 2010.
